Rail workers plan 24-hour strikes on 5, 20 December; reconfirm any train schedules

Railway workers affiliated with the CGT union and employed by railway operators Renfe and Adif are planning to hold 24-hour nationwide strikes on 5 and 20 December. The authorities have put contingency measures in place to minimise disruption; train operators say that 72% of long-distance and high-speed AVE trains, 65% of middle-distance trains, and 50% of suburban trains will operate during peak hours during the strike.
