A message from Director Susan Sánchez Casal

Dear Students,

By now you’ve heard the tragic news about the death of one of Skidmore’s first year students, Michael Hedges, and the serious injury to two others, Toby Freeman and Oban Galbraith. I speak for the entire Tufts-Skidmore in Spain staff when I say that we are mourning Michael’s death with all of you and praying for the full recovery of Toby and Oban.

Although I am currently in the United States at my fall campus visits to Tufts and Skidmore, please know that my thoughts are with all of you. Please let staff know how they can be a support to you in these difficult moments.

We are sensitive to the fact that students will process and grieve in different ways. Our off-site counselors are available to offer support to those who seek it. Please ask any staff member to help you schedule an appointment.

Os mando un fortísimo abrazo en estos momentos tan tristes.
