For real change to occur we must have courage to look within. These past few months have given each of you a tremendous opportunity to do just that, to use your study abroad experiences, your journey to becoming a local, as a way to get know yourself and to connect with an essential part of who you are. The mindfulness tools we’ve practiced in IFG have empowered you to decide at any given moment how you see and react to any situation and how you see and connect to the world around you. Most importantly, the sessions have given you the tools of a lifetime: the fact of change as the only constant, the ability to assess who you are at any given moment and the tools to help you decide who you want to be.

This penultimate session was an opportunity to take stock in how you´ve grown and changed over these past few months as well as a moment to decide what your last few weeks could be like. It was a really powerful session when each student got to fully appreciate how their dedication and attention to their experience allowed them to grow into the changes they´d made.

Even if you’ve yet to notice any changes, your friends and loved ones certainly will. Start now by embracing all the great work you’ve done.
