Lavapies is now, according to Time Out, the coolest neighborhood in the world. As one of the oldest in Madrid, it has been through many different identities, before it´s current renaissance as the center for multicultural Madrid and vibrant space for social change. This field trip is an opportunity to see how this neighborhood is whethering gentrification and how it uses art to engage and empower its residents.
