2019-20_Capítulo IV: More about Education

“I am an assistant coach to several youth soccer (fútbol) teams at C.D.C. Moscardó. I assist with practices while speaking to the players in English (most of the time). I am having a phenomenal time and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who likes soccer and working with kids”. Alex Schnur, Tufts, Fall 2019

“I was about to start making my podcast before we had to leave Madrid, and I also did a little bit of translating. Lino (CEO of organization) is awesome and very nice. I would definitely recommend this internship to anyone who is interested in making their own podcast and/or in educational media.” Ethan Iseman, Tufts. Spring 2020
“I am learning about the radio world. I am specifically learning how to create content for a radio show in terms of what to say and how to say it.” Isabel Gomez, Smith College. Spring 2020
“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Fulbright and would definitely recommend this internship! I learned a lot about the process of awarding scholarships to US students as well as Education USA’s work to help Spanish students apply to US colleges. It is definitely a lot of office work which I do by myself on the computer, so if you like working with a team this internship probably is not the best.” Ryan Albanesi, Tufts. Fall 2019

“Fulbright is divided into various departments, all of which I got a chance to work with. Their employees also include Spaniards and Americans, all with different professional, personal, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds. Begin an international organization, English and Spanish are sometimes used interchangeably around the office. The work to be done varies depending on the time of year, but there is always some form of outreach, data upkeep, or odd jobs to be done. Overall, this is a genuine intercultural space. It may not provide complete immersion, but it is a welcoming space for all levels of language and there is always something to be learned. The work, as well as building relationships with the people, is very rewarding, and I would highly recommend this internship, especially for people interested in international affairs or education”. Dylan Grant, Tufts. Spring 2020
